Brief company history and info
The idea came up when one of the founder’s twin sons had extremely sensitive skin and she ended up spending so much on skin ointments. The side effects of the numerous ointments scared her prompting her to consider more natural skin care remedies until she was gifted a bottle of neem seed oil in 2013 and got intrigued by its amazing healing properties. A combination of Shea and neem oil completely cleared the rashes and kept them off till date. She started off by sharing samples of body butter packaged in recycled baby food glass jars to friends and family and the feedback was exciting and positive. Hence the decision to share this with other families who are going through similar challenges. Laam which means Beautiful in Kassem was incorporated in 31st December 2015.
Production commenced in our founders living room with two 40year old stainless still pots from her mum and a mixer purchased initially for the kitchen. Laam Shea has grown from a startup with a few clients to a budding beauty brand with growing clientele base. Our products are found in major supermarkets in Kumasi and select stores in outlets in Accra.
Our commitment is not to flood the market with mass produced products but producing according to order to ensure our client have the opportunity to experience our natural creations in their freshest and purest form. And even with that, on a very good day she is able to produce 500 units of her products.
